Kenya - June 16, 2000 - October 27, 2008

Kenya passed away today, on my birthday, of cancer. She had a large tumor on her heart and some others in her body. She filled our house with love and joy and will be sadly missed by my wife and I and our son Jack. Bye Kenya we love you.

I'm sorry for your loss. I have a Google alert for "Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever" because I have one too--a rescue dog--and I loved the pictures of Kenya that you posted. I live in Atlanta, and we have no idea where our toller came from. Kenya was a beautiful dog.

My heart breaks for you and your family. We love our toller Lucy (our fur baby) and dread the day she leaves us for puppy-heaven where someone is always there to throw a ball or give treats. There's nothing I can say that will console you, so I thank you for sharing Kenya with the world through your beautiful photos. All my sympathies, Lis Steinberg

I am sorry to hear about Kenya. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. From this blog, I can tell Kenya lived the good life and was deeply loved.

Our Copper passed away from cancer in 2002 at age 11.
I still miss her!

So sorry about your lost. It is so sad to loose a wonderful dog.

I did not know this. I am sorry.

I did not know her that much, but I kept good memories the occasion I did see her.

Life is strange. A birth and...a death.

Oh, I am so, so sorry. Kenya was just beautiful, and I loved looking at her photos on Flickr and following your blog. I wish you and your family all the best in this very difficult time, and thank you for sharing her life with all of us around the world.

Sorry to hear about Kenya, may she rest in peace!

I'm so sorry to see your loss and at such an early age. She looked like such a wonderful dog. I was searching around looking at various toller sites as my own toller passed away last week - though she was 15.5 years old.

Thank you everyone. Each day gradually gets better, but we do miss her terribly.

I'm so sorry for you loss. We lost our Aussie to same thing. My heart goes out to your family.

Mr. Charron,

I'm so sorry to hear about Kenya. I have always enjoyed coming across beautiful images of Kenya on Flickr and YouTube.

Somehow we were lucky enough to adopt a toller from a shelter and I cherish every day with her. It was always clear to see from your amazing photos how much your family loved Kenya and what a happy life she had.
Thanks for sharing Kenya's beauty and spirit on the web.

Warmest regards,

Elaine
