Quite the scare.

It was quite the scare today with our little Kenya the Duck Toller. I came home for lunch and let her out right away as I made my lunch. 15 minutes later I went out to sit and eat with our dog by my side. I noticed she didn't want to walk and looked sort of dazed. I called her over to me and she stumble along like a drunk, almost falling on her butt several times. I ran to the phone and called the vet, right away, and they asked me to bring her in ASAP. After a quick race to the vet, and some blood tests that came back negative, they decided to keep her there for a while (she's there as I write this) so that they could give her some charcoal and administer IV for the afternoon to "flush" her out. The vet says she should be OK and that she may come home this evening if she responds "normally" to us when we go back to see her at 6pm.
Jeesh, you wouldn't think you could get so attached to an animal but Kenya is truly one of our family members, not just a pet. I'd like to thank all of Kenya's so called fans, who check in regularly, she gets over 50 hits a day which is over 18,000 hits per year, along with several emails a month.
